Image: 100_0552smaller.jpg An artist from N.C. now based in Madison, WI, Tracy has achieved numerous awards and honors since the release of her first CD in 2002 including recent recognition as INSTRUMENTALIST OF THE YEAR in the 2008 Madison Area Music Awards. She has opened shows for Willy Porter (4 tour shows), The Wailin' Jennys, Holly Near, L.J. Booth, Ellis Paul, Peter Mulvey, Joe Jencks, and more. Her music has been heard on episodes of MTV's "Made" show and on nearly 200 Radio and TV stations on four continents.

Tracy tours mostly in the midwest (as soloist or with duo, trio, or band) and in the southeast and has been called "North Carolina's gift to Wisconsin." A skilled multi-instrumentalist (5 and counting) often noted especially for her fingerstyle guitar work, she also appears frequently supporting other musicians (local and national) and is part of several side projects.

Tracy's original music is influenced by a lifetime of musical ventures and education in many styles/genres. She is most often noted for her intricate fingerstyle guitar work, her lyrics, and her vocal style reminiscent of Judy Collins and Joni Mitchell. Other artists often named in comparison include Patty Larkin, Shawn Colvin, Dar Williams, David Wilcox, and Carole King.
